This is a 6.5 hp engine designed for the Trailmaster mid size karts- depending on availability, the manufacturer may ship a Lifan 7 hp engine. This 7hp engine is a newer model that supercedes the oldler 6.5hp. They are interchangeable.
Please be certain that you are capable of installing this engine yourself, or have a professional mechanic available to install the engine. There are no returns on engines. Warranty will be void if installation is not done properly- call if you have questions.
We strongly suggest all go kart riders wear a DOT approved full face helmet. Operating a go kart comes with risks and you should prepare yourself and other riders with the proper gear. For children, we recommend a helmet and a set of goggles. For adults, there are lots of options with built in face shields. See some of our suggestions below.
